THE FIVE PILLARS

Five words carry the whole day. Three of them meet you at the gate; the other two are why the day exists at all.

01
MOVE
Run. Carry. Push.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

1 Corinthians 9:24
02
PLAY
Have fun. Make memories.

The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.

Zechariah 8:5
03
CONNECT
Together. Trust. Win.

Two are better than one... a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
04
FAITH
Strength that is not your own.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Philippians 4:13
05
ACHIEVE
Finish strong. Belong.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

2 Timothy 4:7

VISION & MISSION

VISION

Every family in Pretoria East belongs to something bigger than a Saturday. FAMREPS builds South Africa's most iconic family fitness championship — a place where a whole class becomes a team, a parent trains beside their child, and every family finds a community worth coming back for.

MISSION

Bring the whole family onto the field, not just the athletes. Every class competes together across 8 scored athletic qualities, parents and teachers get a division of their own, and the day builds to one shared finish line under a full grandstand — the Gladiator Finisher.

OBJECTIVE

Answer one question together — which class moves, plays and connects hardest in the school? Every division crowns a champion, but every family that shows up already belongs.

OUR FOUNDATION

Six stations, six colours, one grammar that runs through every part of the day. Faith sits inside it, not bolted on: every station carries its own scripture alongside its tagline.

01 · MOVE

Run. Carry. Push."Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."1 Corinthians 9:24

02 · STRENGTH

Lift. Squat. Press."Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power."Ephesians 6:10

03 · TEAMWORK

Together. Trust. Win."Two are better than one... a cord of three strands is not quickly broken."Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

04 · ENDURANCE

Keep going. Finish strong."Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."Isaiah 40:31

05 · PLAY

Have fun. Make memories."The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there."Zechariah 8:5

06 · FINISH

You did it. Together."I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."2 Timothy 4:7

FAITH
WALL
A VENUE FEATURE

A physical wall on site where every family can write it, claim it and believe it. "Write it. Claim it. Believe it." — a place to put words to what your family is training for, standing alongside Warm-Up, Hydration and Recovery as part of the day.

WHY THIS MATTERS

South Africa's children are moving less every year, and the trend gets worse the older they get. FAMREPS exists to put the whole class back on the field, not just the ones who made the team.

60%

of SA schoolchildren take part in no organised school sport at all.

68%

are not physically active on a weekly basis, short of what growing bodies need.

Source: Draper CE, Tomaz SA, Bassett SH, et al., Healthy Active Kids South Africa (HAKSA) 2018 Report Card, South African Journal of Child Health, 2019.

THE TREND GETS WORSE WITH AGE

Across every cycle of South Africa's national Healthy Active Kids report card, one pattern holds: participation and activity fall away as children move through school, with older learners consistently the most likely to be left out. FAMREPS is built to hold every band, from Grade R to matric, on the same field, on the same day.

A WHOLE CLASS, NOT A CHOSEN FEW

Most school sport is built around a team you have to make. FAMREPS is built around a class you already belong to. Every learner in the grade competes, every parent and teacher gets a division of their own, and nobody sits out because they were not picked.

EVENT OVERVIEW & DIVISIONS

Eight divisions, one shared championship. Every grade from R to 12 competes as a class, teachers and parents get their own open-adult division, and families race together in the relay.

THE FINAL STATION · WORTH 150 POINTS

THE GLADIATOR FINISHER

The comeback station. Worth 150 points, the highest of the day, so any class can still win at the buzzer. The MC is on the mic, the music drops, the whole class lines the sprint lane to bring their team home, and the finish bell rings in front of a full grandstand.

Slam balls, a burpee gauntlet, a loaded carry, then the sprint under the Gladiator arch into a wall of noise. It is staged directly in front of the grandstand on purpose: this is the moment every family in the stands is on their feet for.
